A Little about Marian.

As far back as I can remember animals have been my passion. As a child I grew up mainly with cats and in my early teens I had a rabbit named Smokey who started my love of them. It was at this time I was involved in fund raising for the P.D.S.A in my home town.

Over the years, my husband, children and I have all kept a variety of animals. These included dairy goats, cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, chipmunks and chinchillas. We have bred and reared all of these at one time or another. One time which is particularly remembered is the rearing of two baby rabbits from one day old on goats milk! The mother rejected the litter sadly. Vets told us it would be impossible...not so! They lived happily until they were 8 years old.

With each variety of animals we always felt it ‘vital’ to the well-being of the animal to learn as much as possible about them and their requirements before acquiring them, but of course, you never stop learning as each animal has a unique character. Some teach you more than others.

I am a member of the Rabbit Welfare Fund and the Cambridge Cavy Trust. It is our desire to use the experience we have gained over the past 35 years to look after the animals that come into our care as boarders. Our experience, clean conditions and good animal husbandry is what we offer to those who love and want the best possible care for their pets.
